  • • Call 860-236-5618 to schedule interview appointments with Admissions. Both parent and student interviews are a required part of the application process.
  • • Print and submit Records Release Form to the applicant’s current school, and send a copy to Watkinson.
  • • Submit Teacher Recommendation Form to applicant’s current Math and English teachers. (Exception Elementary school teacher) Teachers may return forms either by mail or email to admissions_info@watkinson.org. 
  • • Register for and complete the SSAT (9th—12th grade applicants only). Visit www.ssat.org or ask the Admissions Office for more information.
  • • Applications for financial aid must be submitted by February 1. Visit https://app.clarityapp.com/sign-up for online application or contact our Admissions Office for more information.

Complete and submit all application materials by February 1 for consideration in our first round of decisions.

Important Dates/Deadlines

  • February 1: Admission materials completed and received by Watkinson School. Financial Aid information must be submitted to Clarity https://app.clarityapp.com/sign-up
  • March 10: Notification of first round of decisions
  • April 10: First-round acceptances must notify Watkinson of family decision
  • Students who fully complete their applications (all materials on file) by February 1 will be considered in the first round of decisions with a notification date of March 10. Applications received after February 1 will be considered on a rolling admissions schedule as long as there is space available.

Application Fee

Application fee = $50.

Payment is processed at the time of submission and can be paid by credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Fee waivers are available for families who meet our criteria for assistance; please contact the Admissions Office at Watkinson School for further information.
